2U Wins #50onFireDC Award

In early November, In the Capital announced their #50onFireDC finalists for nine different industries from over a thousand nominations and 2U’s CEO Chip Paucek was among them for education. The #50onFireDC event recognizes trailblazers in their industries who are setting the district "on fire." Last night, Wednesday December 4th, the winners were announced at an event held at The Powerhouse in Georgetown. Over 400 Washingtonians came out to celebrate, including a group of 2U employees:

The winners of the #50onFireDC were announced via video, representing nine different industries from education, government advocacy, dining and retail, and more. Winners were then presented with an award, recognizing their achievements within their respective fields. Chip and 2U were honored to be among the winners, for leading the way in education. The education category also featured people from George Mason University, Everfi, Flat World Education, University of Maryland Dingman Center for Entrepreneurship, and the Georgetown Entrepreneur Initiative.
