Sr. Manager, New Product Implementation

This individual, reporting to the Director, New Product Implementation, will be responsible for directing the implementation of new programs, in addition to developing resources utilized to support standardization and efficiency across implementation.

Key Role and Responsibilities:

Project Management

  • Serve as an expert and point person for new product implementation for both internal and university stakeholders
  • Oversee all aspects of  implementation including timeline, project plan, and stakeholder relationships
  • Manage a portfolio of program implementations with various university partners at the same time
  • Develop technology specifications for all systems that support the program
  • Ensure deadlines are met and forecast risks to hitting major milestones or the overall launch date
  • Assess and communicate impacts of change in order to minimize risk to launch timing
  • Responsible for documentation throughout the implementation period in order to ensure all developments are clearly documented and a smooth transition to University Services

Stakeholder Management

  • Effectively and independently develop relationships, both internally and externally, to ensure overall success of the implementation
  • Navigate and influence university partner relationships at all levels to ensure clarity of project goals and timely delivery of university-owned milestones
  • Work collaboratively with internal key stakeholders to eliminate resource constraints or conflicts
  • Effectively establish and communicate project expectations and information to various stakeholders
  • Identify and assess escalation points and collaborate efficiently with stakeholders to rapid resolution

Process Development and Standardization

  • Maintain the master launch schedule and timelines for assigned implementations and communicate efficiently and accurately to internal stakeholders while maintaining confidentiality
  • Contribute to the development of best practices for implementation and identify opportunities for improvement across the functional areas
  • Maintain and promote the New Product Implementation Confluence site to ensure implementation processes and best practices are documented, accessible and utilized
  • Produce ad-hoc research and analysis to support conversations with prospective partners

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree required, Master’s degree preferred

  • 7+ years’ experience in a project manager role
  • Demonstrated success with leading and managing multiple stakeholders and competing priorities
  • Seasoned relationship skills and experience working with upper-level management
  • Extraordinary organizational skills, attention to detail and excellent follow through
  • Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work and contribute in a team environment
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Project Management Professional certification
  • Desire to work in a higher education environment and familiarity with navigating the landscape
  • Confidence in decision-making
  • Ability to think critically and identify potential issues before they arise
  • Enthusiasm and the ability to thrive in an atmosphere of constant change
  • Experience defining requirements for technical projects
  • Experience working with Salesforce and Confluence or equivalent systems

Travel: Moderate travel will be required to visit university partners on campus.
