What We’re Looking For:

The Curriculum Engineer is a technical expert with strong writing skills, who will create boot camp products to support our enterprise business. You’ll work with instructional designers and editorial partners to ensure that the program content is highly instructive, engaging, and teachable while resulting in expected learning outcomes for students.

The ideal candidate for this role has created technical curricular content for adult learners, with a focus on full-stack web development, data analytics, data science — specifically Java, Python, React, Angular, Java, .NET, and other frameworks and programming languages.  DevOps experience is preferred but not required. You have worked on highly complex projects with flexibly-resourced teams and have the ability to adapt quickly to changing requirements. • Someone with a lot of hands-on experience. We’re building a program in which students learn by doing!
  • We have two immediate courses to build in the immediate term: a Java Cloud Native Developer course and a Full Stack Web Development with C#, React and .NET Core, so those skills will be prioritized.
  • At a minimum, you should have a strong familiarity with technical learning content and tools including as many of the following as possible:

  • Configuration Management and CI/CD
  • Someone who absolutely loves teaching and sharing knowledge with others. It’s ideal if you’ve taught front-end development or programming in the past. Major plus if you have experience with online or asynchronous learning.
  • Someone with a creative itch! This program will require a great deal of ingenuity and setup to create at scale.
  • Someone who is a lot of fun! We want learning technology to be exciting and engaging.
  • Someone who can work well in a distributed team. We’ve got a team of brilliant curriculum developers who can build amazing modules. We want someone who can bring expertise and new ideas to the program.
  • Someone who isn’t afraid to get their hands dirty. In this capacity, you’ll be responsible for keeping the live curriculum up-to-date for hundreds of Instructors and TAs across the country. This means managing issues, pull requests, and bug fixes. It also means taking in community input on technology trends and feedback on the curriculum. We need someone with a bit of thick skin, an infectious enthusiasm for continual improvement, and a collaborative spirit.
