
Adrian Norman is Executive Director of edX at 2U, leading consumer platform strategy and overseeing edX’s growth and commercial performance. He manages learner acquisition, conversion, and retention, as well as the end-to-end learner experience. In this role, he collaborates with product, marketing, technology, and university partnerships teams to position edX as a global destination for career-relevant learning.
Norman brings over two decades of experience building and scaling digital consumer businesses in media, publishing, retail, and technology. He has held senior roles at The Walt Disney Company, Barnes & Noble, Simon & Schuster, and Dorel Sports. Throughout his career, he has focused on marketing, e-commerce, and modernizing consumer platforms and technology infrastructure.
Before joining 2U, Norman worked with established brands and early-stage technology companies, guiding organizations through shifts in consumer behavior and digital discovery. His experience includes early online movie and television streaming, AI and tech startups, and emerging consumer platforms.
Norman earned an MBA in Marketing and Entrepreneurship from the Wharton School and a BA in English Literature from Skidmore College.
