What We’re Looking For:
The Sr. Manager, HRIS plays a critical leadership role within the People Analytics & Technology team by defining and executing the HR technology strategy & operations at 2U. This role will oversee HRIS operations and system optimization, ensuring the efficient use of technology to enhance employee and HR team experiences. This role will lead a team of HRIS analysts, providing direction and hands-on expertise in Workday HCM configuration and integrations to other HR technologies.

HRIS Operations & System Optimization

- Serve as the primary liaison between People Team stakeholders and HRIS analysts, ensuring that business needs are met effectively and efficiently.
- Lead Workday HCM configuration, maintenance, security, and data integrity.
- Implement a roadmap for HRIS enhancements, including Workday module expansions, process automation, and consolidation of technologies.
- Ensure the successful execution of key HRIS operations (e.g., performance reviews, benefits enrollment, compensation cycles, and goal setting).
- Lead cross-functional HRIS workgroups to gather requirements, prioritize enhancements, and ensure timely project delivery.

HR Technology Strategy & Roadmap

- Provide technical expertise to support the people technology strategy, modernizing 2U’s HR technologies.
- Work with key stakeholders to evaluate and improve HR technology solutions to enhance user experience and drive business outcomes.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Workday, identifying ways to better utilize our HRIS technology.
- Identify opportunities to consolidate vendors, including sunsetting duplicative HRIS systems, and reduce technology-related costs while ensuring functionality and efficiency

- Directly manage the people technology and HRIS analyst team, providing coaching, mentorship, and career development.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation, ensuring the team is leveraging HR technology effectively.

- Serve as a product owner for Workday HCM
- Monitor system performance, resolve system & reporting issues, and ensure HR technology solutions are meeting business objectives.
- Ensure smooth integration and compliance of HR systems.

Things That Should Be In Your Background:
Knowledge

- Expertise in Workday HCM configuration, security, reporting, and integrations.
- Strong understanding of HR processes, HRIS administration, and HR technology best practices.
- Advanced skills in Excel, Google Sheets, and Google Slides for data analysis and reporting.
- Strong vendor management skills, including the ability to evaluate & optimize HR technologies.
- Excellent project management skills, with experience leading cross-functional HRIS workgroups.
- Strong leadership and coaching skills, with experience managing HR technology teams.

Experience
- 5-7+ years of experience in HR technology, with a strong focus on Workday HCM configuration.
- Experience managing an HR technology team.
- Proven track record of successfully leading HRIS projects and system implementations.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, IT, Business, or a related field.
Other Attributes That Will Help You In This Role:
- 5% of travel via plane, car, and train may be required.
- Flexibility to work more than 40 hours per week when business needs warrant

The anticipated base salary range for this role is ($139,000-$160,000), with potential bonus eligibility. Salary offers are made based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, budget for the position and cost of labor in the market in which the candidate will be hired.
