What We’re Looking For:
The Senior Manager of Learning Content & Solutions will serve as a subject matter expert on the learning content portfolio and the evolving skills and talent development landscape. This role will consult directly with high-value enterprise customers and prospects, assessing their learning objectives, advising on the most effective content solutions, and shaping strategic learning initiatives that drive measurable impact.
A key responsibility of this position is gathering and analyzing customer insights, market trends, and feedback to identify emerging skill gaps. These insights will inform content strategy, ensuring alignment with workforce development needs and driving the creation of relevant, high-impact learning solutions.
As part of customer engagement, this role will be instrumental in architecting comprehensive, tailored learning solutions—leveraging intricate skills mapping, strategic content curation, and data-driven storytelling. Responsibilities include developing compelling, customized proposals, leading product demonstrations, and delivering high-impact presentations that address complex client needs.
Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:
Content Strategy
- Translate customer feedback and competitive insights into actionable recommendations that shape and future-proof the content portfolio, aligning it with the evolving needs of the corporate learning market.
- Analyze and synthesize enterprise customer and learner data to identify content trends (e.g., top-performing content by industry, region, or customer segment) that informs strategy and client recommendations.
- Stay informed on new content releases and updates, ensuring internal teams are equipped with the latest information and collaborating with sales and marketing to communicate changes to customers.
Content Solutions Advisory
- Collaborate with sales and customer success teams to advance opportunities through the sales cycle by demonstrating how edX content and learning solutions align with client needs.
- Provide insights into industry-specific skills trends and gaps, offering best practices to help clients shape their own learning content strategies.
- Develop executive-level narratives and presentations that articulate the value of edX learning solutions, supporting clients in building a compelling business case for investment.
Content Curation & Skills Mapping
- Lead discovery sessions with clients to assess learning objectives, skill needs, target audiences, and desired outcomes.
- Design tailored and general curated course catalogs based on customer requirements, market trends, and course availability, presenting curated solutions in customer engagements.
Things That Should Be In Your Background:
- Curious about the future of work, careers, talent development, L&D and EdTech
- At the very least a Bachelor's degree, however a Masters degree is advantageous
- Approximately 6 years or more working experience in HR, Learning and Development, Corporate Learning, Skills Consulting, Solutions Consulting, Content Marketing, or EdTech Roles.
- Demonstrating the capacity to connect seemingly disparate dots by analyzing data and uncovering insights, and then crafting a compelling narrative to effectively communicate the story.
- Excellent writing, communication and presentation skills
- Stakeholder relationship management experience
- Being comfortable with ambiguity, pressure and being able to work flexibly and independently are essential
Working Conditions
Overtime is not a requirement of the job but flexibility is required to accommodate US, UK and South African time zones.
