Matt Norden
Interim CEO
Matt Norden is 2U’s Interim Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
As CFO, Norden oversees corporate governance and affairs, corporate finance, and accounting. He ensures legal and regulatory compliance, optimizes the capital structure, and evaluates opportunities for cost management. His responsibilities also extend to intellectual property matters, aligning financial and legal strategies with 2U’s business objectives.
After joining 2U in September 2013, Norden helped lead 2U through its successful initial public offering in 2014 as well as the company’s acquisitions.
Before joining 2U, Norden served as Vice President, General Counsel at TOMS Shoes. He served four years as the company’s global in-house legal counsel, providing cross-border advice to executive management on a variety of strategic and operational issues, and played an integral role in the company’s rapid expansion to China, Europe, the Middle East, and South America.
