On January 14, 2022, Senator Sherrod Brown, Senator Tina Smith, and Senator Elizabeth Warren sent a letter to several edtech companies, including 2U, seeking greater clarity around the partnerships we have with non-profit colleges and universities and their impact on students. As a company that has always believed in the importance and value of providing transparency around the nature and quality of the offerings we power as well as the positive student outcomes we deliver together with our partners, we are sharing our response to the senators for all to read. We welcome the opportunity to continue discussions around how we can help move our industry forward in students’ best interests.
To learn more about our continued commitment to greater openness, access, affordability, and student outcomes, I encourage you to reference our most recent Transparency Report. I also recommend reading students’ perspectives on why they believe in the value of high-quality online education right here on our blog, including inspiring stories from Jeffrey Jenkins, Erika Gonzalez, and Steven Montague.
